Welcome to the Fascinating Minutae of My Life

That was a bit of an dramatic post title. Well here are some fairly unrelated drawings from my latest moleskine sketchbook. I believe these are all done with my fave Faber-Castell brush pens, as per usual.

As you can see, I am still a fan of drawing people's mugs and whatnot in coffee shops, even if they really want to consume their beverages.

We hand made fancy beeswax candles over winter break, it was a fun time.

Tim has since lost those glasses - glasses that he found in the street and wore around even though they were not his prescription, in fact he has 20-20 vision; he is a cool guy - so this is the only possible artistic record of their existence! The crispie treat is likewise no longer with us.

Eh, some crappy robot drawings.

Apparently Stanford University Medical Center has a complex system of pneumatic tubes to transport samples and stuff around the building, which I though was pretty neat.

Riffing on the pneumatic tubes.

As you can see, I also use this sketchbook to write my print class notes. Fascinating.

If you are interested, I have more sketchbook posts here, and also here and anatomy sketchbook here, and a couple here, and architecture sketchbook here. Huh. I guess I like my sketchbooks.

More of My Mad Technological Skillz

Some more exercises using Photoshop, from my Compooter Artz class.

You may remember I put up some other similar work using Photoshop right here; in that case we were only supposed to use black/white/grey, whereas here we were supposed to use primary colours. I am not really that great at working in colour in general, and was kind of running out of ideas - I just hope it doesn't show! I think I have a wider knowledge of what photoshop does, now. It's pretty fun.

A List

Things Americans talk about more than any other nation on Earth:

Gas mileage

How much protein they're getting

Shower pressure

How firm they like their pillows

Going to the chiropractor to get some "body work" done

RELATED: "Dude, I really need to crack my back right now. *Crack!*"

The fact that you should really be drinking more water

Tupperware

How they are 1 part French, one part Swedish, one part Native American, and one part Dutch.

Bacon

Setting boundaries
