It's apparently a sci-fi classic which I've been hearing things about for a while. Hopefully it's good. But that's beside the current point which is oh my god look at the beautiful cover. It's part of the SF Masterworks series published by Gollancz/Orion, designed by Sanda Zahirovic. There are a handful more, all equally amazing. So simple, yet so ingenious, this is really outside-the-box, 3D into 2D design work, IMO.
I pulled these from The Book Cover Archive, and Sanda Zahirovic's blog is here. I have a feeling that Zahirovic might have won an D&AD Award commission for this gig. Well deserved if she did.
